    Google Groups Replacement for EMS Discussion ListServ is now live!

    If you were a member of the former Kansas EMS discussion Listserv group (kansas-ems@list.da.ks.gov), you should have received notice that the service was discontinued by the State of Kansas IT department, due to end-of-life for the software running the site. We have replaced the ListServ with a Google Groups forum. If you were a member of listserv, you should have been automatically added to the new group or received an invitation to join.     KBEMS office is OPEN to the public on Tuesday, May 26th 2020!

    The Landon Office Building and the offices of the Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services will once again be open to the public, beginning on Tuesday, May 26th 2020. There will be no health screenings for the public to gain entry to the building. The State of Kansas “suggests” the wearing of masks in all state properties but it is NOT required.

    Governor addresses worker compensation for frontline responders

    In an effort to help Kansans who have put their health and lives on the line during the COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Laura Kelly is directing the Kansas Department of Labor (KDOL) to evaluate all of its processes and procedures for handling workers compensation claims filed by law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical service providers and health care workers that are reasonably related to the pandemic.

    Due to COVID-19 and the direction of Governor Laura Kelly, our office will be continue to be closed to the public until the stay at home order is lifted. We will have limited staffing during this time. However, we are still working and able to assist you via phone or email.
