Mitchell County EMS is accepting applications for Full or part-time position of Paramedics/A-EMT for immediate hire.
We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team. We are a progressive service providing ALS care out of two stations staffing 2 ALS units. We offer competitive wages. Starting wage for a Paramedic is $13.00 and A-EMT $11.00 per hour. Part-time will work Wednesday’s with opportunities to fill in for vacation and sick time. Full-time will work two 24 hour rotating shifts a week with guaranteed 8 hours of overtime. We do offer a full benefit package to all full time employees. We would prefer candidates live in a surrounding county; however, this is negotiable. We operate under liberal protocols.
Position Summary:
The individual we are seeking will provide patient care within their scope of practice. The employee will participate in the care and maintenance of facilities, equipment and ambulances. You must be able to work independently, multi-task and maintain a high level of patient care and re-pour with patients.

Under the general supervision of the paramedic/shift supervisor, the EMT is expected to meet the urgent health care needs of all patients regardless of age or co-morbidity, consistent with their defined scope of practice. The EMT performs basic life support skills under the direction of the paramedic. The EMT must be able to exercise considerable judgment, problem-solving and decision making skills. The EMT provides out-of-hospital medical care to those with urgent needs, and is a component of the overall healthcare system. The EMT delivers care as part of a system intended to decrease the morbidity associated with sudden illness and injury. Work is performed with a substantial degree of independence within the framework of prescribed policies and procedures and under the general supervision of the paramedic/shift supervisor and the EMS Director.

Stafford County Emergency Services has an opening for a full time EMT or full time Advanced level provider. Stafford County Emergency Services serves a rural population of approximately 4,208 people throughout a 792 square mile service area with a call volume of 400 calls per year. The department works under protocols designed to provide care to patients in a rural setting. With prolonged transport times and bypass protocols, our EMS personnel must have strong critical thinking skills and be comfortable caring for patients for long periods of time.
Qualified applicants should possess a Kansas EMT certification at a minimum, current CPR certification, and valid Kansas drivers license. Salary is commensurate with experience and education.

* Escorts all internal money transfers throughout Prairie Band Casino & Resort facility
* Safeguards Prairie Band Casino’s assets
* Enforces Tribal State Gaming Regulations including the System of Internal Controls and Emergency Operating Procedures
* Prepares Accident Reports, Medical Reports and Security Incident Reports
* Escorts Gaming chips, coin and cash
* Monitors the collecting and transporting of Drop Boxes to the storage area

* May train new Security Officers and/or Security Officer EMT’s as necessary
