Certification
Beginning on December 31st, 2021 EMS Providers holding Current Kansas EMS certification can apply for Inactive Ineligible to Practice certification. This allows providers who are no longer providing EMS services to retain their certification without the need to complete continuing education. Submit an application through the portal, along with the $10 fee to change your status to “Inactive Ineligible to Practice”. If you decide to return to active status, you will be able to reinstate your certification by submitting a reinstatement application, completing the required Continuing Education, and payment of the applicable fee.

Stafford County Emergency Services serves a rural population of approximately 4,208 people throughout a 792 square mile service area with a call volume of 400-450 calls per year. The department works under protocols designed to provide care to patients in a rural setting. With prolonged transport times and bypass protocols, our EMS personnel must have strong critical thinking skills and be comfortable caring for patients for long periods of time. Available shifts are 12 hours: * 7am – 7pm (3 shifts per week) Qualified applicants should possess a Kansas EMT certification, current CPR certification, and a valid Kansas driver’s license. Salary is commensurate with experience and education. Stafford County offers an excellent fringe benefit package. Stafford County is an Equal Opportunity Employer. |
