09/04/2014 Chase County EMS POSITION TITLE:Chase County EMS is accepting applications for a full time, Kansas certified, EMR or EMT. Standard in-facility hours will be from 0800 to 1600 Monday thru Friday. Some after-hours call time will be required. Pay will be hourly pay for in-facility time. Additional pay will be provided for being on-call, responding to calls and stand-by events. Position is eligible for full time county benefits. To include, sick and vacation paid time off, health insurance, KPERS retirement, and uniforms. This position does have a verified residency requirement within 6 months of date of hire.

09/03/2014 Franklin County EMS POSITION TITLE:The EMT is expected to meet the urgent health care needs of all patients regardless of age or co-morbidity, consistent with their defined scope of practice.  The EMT is a unique healthcare professional in that they provide medical care and transportation in and out-of-hospital settings with medical oversight.  Therefore the EMT must be able to exercise considerable judgment, problem-solving, and decision making skills.  The EMT provides out-of-hospital medical care to those with urgent needs, and is a component of the overall healthcare system.  The EMT delivers care as part of a system intended to decrease the morbidity associated with sudden illness and injury.  Work is performed under general supervision of the EMS Chief, Assistant Chief, and/or Battalion Chief who reviews work methods and results through reports and inspections.For a complete job summary https://www.hrepartners.com/HRePartners/jobdetails.aspx?id=23750

09/03/2014 Pratt County EMS POSITION TITLE:Pratt County EMS is taking applications for a full-time position. Must be a Kansas certified PARAMEDIC/EMICT, AEMT, or EMT. 12 hour shifts with some 24 hour shifts required due to other technicians taking vacation or sick leave. A 24 hour shift is also available. 08/16/2014 Norton County EMS POSITION TITLE:FULL TIME PARAMEDIC, AEMT, EMT – NORTON COUNTYNorton County has full-time openings for Paramedic, AEMT and EMT. Norton County is a Type IIA service with approximately 500 calls a year.Seeking motivated and dedicated individuals to work in the rural setting and comfortable taking care of patients for long transport times.Norton is located in NW Kansas at the intersection of Hwy 283 and Hwy 36.Full time schedule is 48 on, 48 off, 96 on, / 48 off, 48 on, 96 off rotation. These shifts are 12 hours at the station, 12 hours on call from home within each 24 hours period.Full-time employees typically average 16-20 hours of overtime per pay period, paid at time and a half. Plus paid per call after hours of at least time and half.

The applicant must have good communication skills and work well with a variety of health care professionals with varying degrees of experience.

08/08/2014 Wellington Fire & EMS Department POSITION TITLE:The Wellington Fire & EMS Department is accepting applications for Firefighter/Paramedic. Applicants must be currently certified as a Paramedic. Applicants must be a certified Firefighter I or the ability to obtain that certification within 9 months. Applicants must attend a physical ability test or a current CPAT will be accepted. Interviews and physical ability test will be scheduled shortly after the application deadline. Starting annual salary is $40,000 with a salary step increase after 6 months. A total of 268 hours of scheduled overtime annually is possible in addition to the annual salary.Wellington Fire & EMS employs 15 full time personnel, three administrative staff and 2 reserves. The department responds on an average to 1300 EMS calls and 1100 fire calls annually. Staff work 24 hour shifts and must reside within 15 minutes of the fire station within 6 months.The City of Wellington offers KP& F retirement, 10 paid holidays, vacation, Christmas savings plan, sick time incentive, and ample opportunities for overtime.
