The City of Cherryvale is accepting applications for Deputy Chief, Paramedic.  This position reports directly to the Chief of the department.  Essential duties include responding to emergency calls and supervision of all career and volunteer staff.  The deputy chief plans, develops, reviews, implements and evaluates department policies under direction of the fire Chief.  Under the guidance of the Chief, the DC disseminates guidance, regulations and procedures to subordinates, prepares and schedules assignments to subordinates and directs all CFR personnel.

Mitchell County EMS is accepting applications for a FULL-TIME Paramedic and some PRN positions at the EMT, AEMT, and paramedic levels. Mitchell County EMS is a County EMS system with progressive protocols and up to date equipment.

This is a paid-on-call position, starting at $4.25/hr for on-call and $7.25/hr for calls.

This non-exempt position under FLSA and is responsible for protecting lives and property of the public by performing fire suppression, technical rescues, hazardous material responses and providing emergency medical care. Our EMS is a progressive Type 2A service with liberal protocols for EMT’s AEMT’s and Paramedics. Must have a Kansas Paramedic Certification, Kansas EMT Certification or higher before employment, Firefighter I Certification is preferred. Harper County EMS is accepting applications for the position of full-time Paramedic. We are a progressive type IIA service providing care out of three stations.  Crews work a 24hr/48hr rotation with no call time or residency requirements. We operate under liberal protocols and staff participation is encouraged for future service development.  Candidates must have a high school diploma or acceptable equivalent, a Kansas driver’s license, pass a pre-employment drug screen, and be certified as a Kansas Paramedic. • Preparation for transfer;
• Orderly transfer of the patient to a medical facility;
• Maintaining radio communication with the hospital;
• Perform CPR, per BLS protocol;
• Perform all duties of EMT according to protocol.

Requires a KS AEMT certification, current KS driver’s license with no restrictions limiting driving, and must pass pre-employment/post-offer physical.

The primary responsibility of the MICT is to respond to emergency calls and, in consultation with the physician or physician assistant, to determine and initiate appropriate emergency care required in the pre-hospital setting.  This includes:

• Prompt response to all ambulance calls;
• Control at the scene;
• Prompt and efficient care of the patient before transport;
• Preparation for transfer;
• Orderly transfer of the patient to a medical facility;
• Maintaining radio communication with the hospital;
• Administration of medications or procedures as directed by physician and protocols;
• Perform CPR and defibrillation through ACLS protocol;
• Perform all duties of EMT.

Requires a KS MICT certification, current KS driver’s license with no restrictions limiting driving, and must pass pre-employment/post-offer physical.
