Our primary focus is responding on our 400+ acre campus to provide ALS care to our approximately 1300 residents. JKV EMS responds to about 3000 calls per year and also provides mutual aid emergency response to the surrounding agencies and performs inter-facility transfers from our two local hospitals. Pottawatomie County EMS is expanding its coverage area and will be adding 58 square miles of coverage area which will encompass all of the county including areas inside the city limits of Manhattan. We will be expecting an annual call volume over 2,000 calls a year and operating out of 5 separate stations. This action will include new personnel (six full time positions). We are looking for Paramedic’s, AEMT, and EMT’s to join our team! We also are always looking for part time staff!

These position(s) work a 48/96 rotation. Enjoy the opportunity to work 48 hours followed by 96 hours off – then the shift repeats. Pottawatomie County does NOT have a residency requirement for EMS personnel. Pottawatomie County EMS currently has 4 stations and will be opening a 5th station, located throughout the county. PCEMS provides 911 and non-emergent response and transports. We have also have taken delivery of a new Type 1 Ambulance and will have the delivery of 2 type II units in May. Job Description
The Johnson County Emergency Management and Communications (EMC) department is recruiting for an EMS Clinical Practice Coordinator. This position creates, maintains and administers a comprehensive credentialing program for EMS providers who provide patient care in the EMS System. This position assists in creating new clinical registries and supports existing clinical registries maintained at the Medical Director Program. This position participates in EMS research activities as well as assists the EMS Medical Director Program Manager with QA/CQI and peer review/event investigation related activities. This role creates educational content and coordinates quarterly skills and simulation preparation for training with EMS and Fire agencies in JOCO; creates distance education through various platforms and collaborates with EMS System Educators. Additional duties include:
• Assists in the development, maintenance, and administration of the EMS System provider credentialing program; coordinates and assists with creating validated competency examinations and proctors/administers exams; creates high-fidelity simulation scenarios, skills objectives and processes for verifying competency; tracks and maintains provider credentialing portfolios and websites; procures equipment and maintains credentialing program data.
• Creates new clinical registries and supports existing clinical registries maintained; contributes to and supports the quality assurance and CQI program; provides assistance to peer review/event investigation related activities.
• Develops, creates, modifies, and edits educational content and distance education through various platforms; collaborates with EMS System Educators; coordinates quarterly skills and simulation preparation for training with EMS and Fire agencies.
• Researches content and suggests EMS initiatives to maintain high quality of EMS system services; reviews EMS journals; proposes changes to clinical standards and practices based on evidence-based medicine and EMS System needs.

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Nursing, Public Health, Public Administration, Clinical Research or other relevant field of study; (3) years Nursing, Paramedic, providing training or relevant experience and a valid driver’s license.
A Master’s degree in Education, Nursing, Public Health, Public Administration, Clinical Research or other relevant field of study is preferred.
Experience may substitute for education and education may substitute for experience.

The Wellington Fire & EMS Department is accepting applications for Firefighter/Paramedic. Applicants must be currently certified as a Paramedic or will complete Paramedic class in 2018. Wellington Fire & EMS employs 18 full time personnel, and two administrative staff. The department responds on an average to 1700 EMS calls and 1200 fire calls annually. Staff work 24 hour shifts and must reside within 20 miles of the fire station within 6 months.

This position meets all the requirements set forth by the Kansas Board of EMS for the position of Paramedic. The Paramedic is expected to meet the urgent health care needs of all patients regardless of age or co-morbidity, consistent with their defined scope of practice. The Paramedic must be able to exercise considerable judgment, problem-solving, and decision making skills. The Paramedic provides out-of-hospital medical care to those with urgent needs, and is a component of the overall healthcare system. The Paramedic delivers care as part of a system intended to decrease the morbidity associated with sudden illness and injury. Work is performed under general supervision of the EMS Chief, Assistant Chief, Division Chief and/or Captain.

Franklin County participates in the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System (KPERS & KP&F).

Base Rate: $13.62 per hour depending on qualifications Anticipated annual wage of $46,690 (Holidays & OT inclusive)

Hours: Rotating 24-Hour Shifts, evenings, weekends, holidays are required. Overtime may be required.

Kansas Paramedic Certification required. High School Diploma or GED required. Current & valid Kansas Paramedic certificate, CPR/BLS provider certification, ACLS certification, Class C operator’s license are required. Two to three years related experience or training required.
